Alaska Yukon Wild Flowers Guide - More than 160 species from every area of Alaska with color photos and line drawings. Grouped by family. Marin Flora Wildflowers of Denali National Park and Interior Alaska - Includes plant lists for specific areas in park as well as all the other great info from Verna Pratt (see 2 previous books).
No Image Wildflowers Along the Alaska Highway - This book is more information packed than most field guides. Plants are grouped by color, a real boon when you're not sure what family a plant belongs to. AK Hwy is broken into miles/areas and the plants you may find there. Individual entries include photos, bloom time, comments, and more. No Image Wild Flowers Along Mt. McKinley Park Road - A book for those wishing to identify common plants found along the roadside. Line drawings arranged by family. Note, Denali and Mt. McKinley are one and the same.
No Image Field Guide to Alaskan Wildflowers Commonly seen along the Highways and Byways - Another Verna Pratt (see above) book packed with lots of information. A blooming time chart and info on outstanding areas is included along with photos and line drawings. Wild Flowers of the Pacific Northwest - Classic reference on flowering plants from Alaska to northern California with large color photos and wonderful descriptions. This large book is not one you'll want to tote in to the field but it is indispensable and a great gift, too.
